Applicants invest 6 million NTD (about 1.5 million HKD) in Taiwan are eligible to apply residence permit after the audit is passed. People from Hong Kong and Macao who have lived in Taiwan for one full year (do not leave Taiwan less than 30 days a year), or within two years lived in Taiwan for more than 270 days per year can settle down in Taiwan.
